Overview

The competition is about celebrating and showcasing enterprising chambers. It is designed to encourage innovation by recognizing programs, events, and ideas that challenge the status quo. This year’s Grand Prize is $1000 and is not dependent on Chamber size. There will be an additional 3 - $500 prizes awarded to the winner of each of the following categories: Small Chamber, Medium Chamber, Large Chamber (category will be assigned by ChamberMaster at the end of the entry period at their discretion based on the entries received). Annual operating budget will also be taken under consideration.

Process

Chambers should enter the competition by submitting their most innovative programs, events, or ideas which will be judged on Creativity, Community Impact, Value to Chamber, Value to Members, and Replicability by September 16, 2019. Winners will be announced on or around October 30, 2019.

Entries will be accepted until 11:59 pm CDT, Monday, September 16, 2019. Entries received after that time will not be entered in the competition.

Generally, an event would be categorized as a regular occurrence (e.g. Business After Hours, Community Festival, Annual Dinner, etc.).
A program would typically include something like employee training, shoplifting prevention, shared workspace development, etc.).
