New Feature Release: Contributors Cover Processing Fees
We’re excited to announce a new enhancement to our Fundraising module for our GZ Pay customers* that allows contributors to cover processing fees when making contributions. This feature is available starting today March 4, 2025.
*Note: This option is only available for GZ Pay gateways.
Why This Matters
- Many contributors expressed interest in covering processing fees to ensure their full contribution goes directly to the organization.
- By giving contributors this option, organizations can maximize contributions and remove potential barriers for giving.

How It Works
- Enable the Feature – In the Fundraising settings under Billing and Checkout, select the option to allow contributors to cover processing fees.
- Customize Fee Settings – Choose an existing processing fee item or create a new one, then set the fee percentage.
- Automated Checkout Display – The checkout screen will automatically update the total contribution when this option is selected.
- Compliance Built-In – Hardcoded text ensures compliance with payment processing regulations and industry standards.
Reporting Updates
To make reconciliation easier, we’ve added:
- A new column in the Contributions tab for quick reference.
- The Processing Fee Item Type in Fundraising reports for clearer tracking.
